Refer a client for neuroqueer therapy

Thoughtful, relational therapy for neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ adults throughout Washington.

I work with neurodivergent, queer, trans, gender-expansive, and highly sensitive adults who may need more than a traditionally affirming therapist. Many have spent years appearing capable while privately managing masking, burnout, sensory overwhelm, relationship strain, identity questions, or the exhaustion of continually translating themselves.

As a neurodivergent and queer therapist with more than 25 years of experience, I understand these intersections from both professional and lived perspectives.

Clients who may be a good fit

I may be a good referral for adults who are:

  • Exploring late-identified ADHD, autism, AuDHD, or neurodivergence

  • Experiencing masking, burnout, executive-functioning challenges, or rejection sensitivity

  • Navigating queer, trans, gender-expansive, or neuroqueer identity

  • Looking for therapy that does not treat neurodivergence as a problem to correct

  • Working through relationships, parenting, life transitions, trauma, or identity development

  • Exhausted by having to educate or translate themselves to providers

  • Seeking therapy that allows flexibility in communication, movement, eye contact, camera use, and emotional expression

I also work with neurodivergent couples, polycules, and chosen-family systems. My practice is primarily focused on adults, with limited availability for gender-expansive teens.

What therapy with me can look like

Therapy does not have to require sitting still, making eye contact, speaking on demand, or performing regulation.

Depending on the client, sessions may include typing when speech is inaccessible, moving during sessions, using art or metaphor, adjusting camera use, communicating directly, questioning inherited expectations, or simply allowing the person to arrive without first making themselves easier to understand.

My work is relational, expressive, contextual, and grounded in the belief that people make sense when their experiences are understood in context.

How to refer a client

Clients may self-schedule a free 15-minute consultation or request an intake appointment directly. The secure scheduling process will ask what kind of care they are seeking and whether they plan to use private pay or Premera insurance.

If you would like to ask about fit before referring, please contact me without including identifying or sensitive clinical information unless the client has authorized communication.

Thank you for helping neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients find care where they do not have to begin by explaining or defending who they are.
